Mighty Z50J Red build

Well winter is almost here and i am slowly preparing to upgrade the bike over the winter.
Here is some stuff i have gotten myself:


- Rothmans original bodykit
- Active digital speedometer
- G-Craft short carbon rear fender

I have also gotten two TB billet clutch baskets, one for semi auto and one for manual clutch. Hopefully i will build all new engine from the one spare GB4 speed engine i have in my shed.
Oh and i couldnt resist to take picture of my two Finnish beauties If anybody has original unpainted Tivoli battery cover for sale please let me know!

I only paid 90€ for those G-Craft rims, thats why i bought them, otherwise i would prefer 8 holes too

How has the CF Posh battery-less kit worked out for you? Been wondering about getting one, if they're any good.

I have no complains for it... It doesnt store electricity so the lights go brighter when the idles go higher, but i dont usually ride in night so no worries with it. It sure is much lighter than actual battery.

Little test with Rothmans tank and G-Craft carbon fenders before taking the bike apart. I like what i am seeing Now the front end will go to powdercoating as the grey is not matching with the look.


Also there will be new engine for 2016:
- TB88 Race Head kit (huge thanks to Aleksi / Onkimato for helping me getting the kit)
- GB4 4speed manual clutch Z50J engine
- TB billet clutch basket
- Original Keihin PC20 carburetor to replace the Shengway one from TB kit

Halaro i will go with an ordinary v1 kit, the price was so good and actually i liked my current engine, but street riding would be better with 4 speed and manual clutch. The current engine (TB88 Race Head kit on CRF70 bottom end with TB billet clutch) will go to pit bike i am building and going to race it in 88cc semi class here.

I think thet I know that kit Thanks for mentioning me before! The joy was on my side to help you. But the rothmans seems very nice in my eye except the front fork you said that you are going to paint. Please post some photos after the painting job done.

I still havent got the the new engine together
Bought a Takegawa OT/ NT Special clutch from Finland, but i dont have a long gearbox main shaft to use it with and its pretty difficult to find...

Well i couldnt wait for the engine parts to arrive so took the engine from the pit bike i race championship with (its the same engine i used last year on Monkey) and put it on a Monkey so i could ride it before the weather turns to crap.
I kind of like the look of the bike, changed the Daytona throttle for original Honda one and used Z50R grips. What you think?

Very nice and fresh look now How much this monkey goes with that engine? White fenders could also look nice, but those fenders fits good. Change the seat cover to Pitreplicas Honda seat cover, which are sale on ebay.

Thanks. I have managed to do about 95-100kmh according to Takegawa speedometer, its only 3 speed engine.
Well now its again winter and i have time so i will build an engine that i had planned for the bike, which will be GB4, 4 speed bottom end with Takegawa Special clutch and TB88 Race Head kit engine and thanks for some good luck i will also build second engine for the bike which is Takegawa DOHC 88 on GB4, 4 speed bottom end with another Takegawa Special clutch.
Couldnt resist to put the DOHC head on engine cases just to see the look of it

A great piece of kit. It's just a shame that the exhaust selection is so limited, if you're not willing to cut and weld.
